I'm thinking Aerosmith was really at their peak 30 years ago, but they had twin peaks!

You know, this brings back a horrible memory. When I was a pup, I wrote a music column for a small NC newspaper. It was cool because I got to interview and meet lots of stars while I was still in high school. And because I had been accepted at Berklee already, lots of the guys were willing just to talk music.

Anyway, Joe Perry came through and the publicist was pushing the new Joe Perry Project. This is right after Night in the Ruts bombed.

I fell for it all. Almost the same headline: Guitarist to Leave Aerosmith

Well, we all see how well that one went. It wasn't a clip I used much past the first month or three even though it was a good article and interview.

I was 17. Still shoulda known better. Grrr.
