Ah yes, I have Mika’s first album. I didn’t even think of that. Yet another reason to not buy Lambert’s CD.

Actually the Adama Lambert CD is at times pretty decent. There are some breathtaking moments but there are definitely some moments that embody all the reasons I didn’t like him in the first place. Not to mention he totally swagger jacks a guy I love by the name of Mika. Mika’s album wipes the floor with Adam’s.

It’s not where you start, it’s where you finish. Of all the American Idol winners’ debut albums, Taylor’s album (which I liked as well) was ultimately the lowest selling.

Taylor Hicks debuted with the 3rd highest 1st week sales out of all 8 AI Winners. Sold just shy of 300K. Just sayin…..

Taylor did terrible numbers and I liked his debut album. My kid wants the Kris Allen album. I’ll probably have to break down and get it for him.

No surprise there Monica. Not to say Kris isn’t talented, but he’s certainly very vanilla. I fear that Adam’s album is gonna be a little too gay for me (the cover certainly is) so I think I’m gonna stay away from buying that one as well.

Norah Jones has me intrigued…

Hey guys!

Definitely a big release week!

So far I’m liking a good majority of what I am hearing. I think if you were going to buy a Norah Jones album since her debut this would be the one. The jury is still out on the Kris Allen but in all fairness I’ve only heard it once. I’m a little sad to say that I think Lambert’s is going to go farther. I’ve heard both and on first listen Lambert’s is more interesting.

Seriously, this Kris Allen album got almost no buzz at all. I didn’t even know it was out until I saw it on the bottom shelf of the new releases at Target today. I agree, it will be the worst debut album of an American Idol winner. Although the Taylor Hicks album did pretty terrible.
