There were a few old dogs in that pack. Beach Boys Al Jardine & Brian Wilson were there too. Ann & Nancy Wilson from Heart were in there. Patti Austin (looking good) was there too. So was Gladys. I think that Lionel & Q may have reached back to some people and brought them in. But I really like the update. I thought Seacrest was supposed to do the Dan Akroyd thing, but that turned out to be Jeff Bridges.

Still a really nice job and a global concert in 53 countries today.

I didn't have a problem with Bennett at all. Or Streisand. It was just odd that both were old enough to be on the first one and weren't, and were the only two artists who didn't fit in a certain age range. As far as whether they deserved to be there, of course they did, and more than anyone else except Q and Lionel themselves.

I rewatched it last night and still enjoyed it. Of course, getting everyone in there including guys who had to use Auto-tune was a little quirky, but I still give Q and Lionel credit. With all those egos, including their own, it couldn't have been easy.

My dog Randy Jackson was there, but I didn't see my wife.

I asked a music watcher about Streisand when it was announced early on and the person said, "Think she feels a bit guilty about skipping every benefit the industry put on in the 80s?"

Respectfully disagree about Tony Bennett. Legends get a pass. I was a little disappointed that Brian Wilson didn't get a line. He only changed pop music forever.

Totally agree on the Justin thing. The only reason I could see him getting that much time was because he was likely the youngest there and this was a message wrapped around Haiti's kids. In that case, I approve.

Totally with you on the classy Janet-MJ duet. Definitely respectful. And I was totally with you on Adam Levine. I stopped the video and said "Where's Stevie -- I don't see him!"

But I did mention LL. He used to call himself Uncle L. But you're right, no Snoop, but that was on purpose.

I'm glad you liked it. I've read where some people haven't really liked it, but man, it had to be hard putting all those folks in one song.

I just bought the video and song on iTunes for 3 bucks. I also bought the Simon Cowell Haiti song, which is a remake of Everybody Hurts.
